Meet Sally

I am on my way to becoming a Bowen local, having relocated from Brisbane with my family in 2019. I am an experienced General Psychologist with over 13 years experience. I take a warm, compassionate and professional approach to assist people to make sense of and develop strategies to manage life’s experiences. As well as private practice experience, I have worked in university, employee assistance programs, employment and rural mental health settings. I take a passionate interest in working with adults who seek to improve wellbeing in the areas of work-life balance, adjustment to early career, coping with study and navigating life transitions; particularly new parents.

I am particularly interested in assisting people with anxiety, depression, romantic break-ups, return to the workforce, and moving through the process of grief and loss. I enjoy working with people of all different ages and backgrounds, using a holistic, person-centred approach to think about each individual’s needs, wants and preferences in life. This includes working with NDIS participants to achieve their goals.

My therapy approach is based on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Mindfulness, as well as using principles from Positive Psychology to help people identify and work towards their goals. I work predominantly with short-medium term treatment toward agreed-upon goals to help you reach a sense of wellbeing.
